Why travel data needs proxies
The same seat has many prices. Which one you are shown depends on where you appear to be, and on how often you have asked.
Fares change by point of sale
Airlines, hotels and booking sites quote different prices, currencies and taxes by country. Exit through the country you are pricing and you get the fare a local traveller gets.
Travel sites defend hard
A fare search is expensive to serve, so travel sites rate-limit and challenge repeat visitors quickly. Rotating residential IPs spread the searches across many ordinary-looking visitors.
One search is several steps
Search, select, fare rules, final price: the whole flow has to stay on one IP or the site starts again. A sticky session holds the same IP for up to 60 minutes.

What are travel fare proxies used for?
Fare aggregation and comparison, hotel rate parity checks, competitor monitoring and revenue research. It is price monitoring for an industry where the price depends heavily on where the buyer is.
Which proxy is best for travel data?
Budget Residential for daily collection at volume, and Premium Residential for airlines and booking sites with strict protection. Use Eternal Residential for occasional studies and Datacenter proxies for feeds and APIs.
Why do fares differ by country?
Travel companies price by point of sale. Currency, local taxes, market competition and local promotions all change the quote, so the only way to see a market’s fare is to ask from inside that market.
Should I use rotating or sticky sessions?
Sticky. Give every search its own session ID so the whole flow stays on one IP, then use a new ID for the next search. Rotate on every request only for single-page lookups.
How much bandwidth does fare collection use?
Travel pages are heavy. As an example, 20,000 searches a day at 1 MB each is about 20 GB a day. Reading the site’s JSON responses instead of full pages, and skipping images, cuts that sharply.
Is this allowed on VantixProxy?
