How the proxy checker works
One real request through each proxy, to a target that answers the same everywhere.
What is tested
Our server sends one HTTPS request through the proxy to a Google connectivity address. If Google answers, the proxy is marked Working. Nothing else is requested, and you cannot choose the target.
What the time means
It is the full round trip from our server, through the proxy, to Google and back. It lets you compare proxies with each other. Your own speed depends on where you connect from.
Limits and privacy
Up to 50 proxies per run and 100 every ten minutes per visitor. Your list is sent to our server only to run the test. It is not stored and not logged. Private and internal addresses are never tested.
Reading the results
What each message means, and what to do about it.

Proxy checker questions
Is the proxy checker really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no payment. The limits exist only to keep the service fair: 50 proxies per run and 100 every ten minutes.
Which proxy types can it test?
HTTP, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5, with or without a username and password. Write socks5:// or socks4:// in front of a line to test it as SOCKS. Lines without a protocol are tested as HTTP.
Why does a proxy work in my tool but fail here?
The usual reason is IP whitelisting: the proxy only accepts connections from your own IP, and this test comes from our server. Proxies that block Google, or that do not allow HTTPS, also fail here while working elsewhere.
Why is Google the test target?
Because it is fast, reachable from almost everywhere and answers the same way every time, so a pass or fail says something about the proxy and not about the target. A proxy that reaches Google over HTTPS can reach the open web.
Do you store or reuse my proxies?
No. The list is sent to our server to run the test and is discarded when the answer comes back. It is not written to a database or a log, and the results exist only on your screen.
I am a VantixProxy customer. Should I use this?
You can, but the proxy tester in your dashboard is better for your own lines: it knows your account, and it is not limited to 50.
