Why Discord accounts need a steady IP
Discord ties account security to where you log in from, and it limits traffic per IP.
New places trigger checks
A login from an unfamiliar IP often needs an email confirmation before it goes through. Rotating IPs make that happen every time.
Shared IPs connect accounts
Community and moderation accounts on one connection are easy to link. If one is actioned, the others can be reviewed with it.
Bots share their host’s IP
Discord blocks IPs that send too many invalid requests, whichever bot sent them. A bot on a crowded shared host can be caught by its neighbours’ traffic.

Set up Discord accounts on separate IPs
The Discord desktop app has no proxy setting, so most teams use Discord in the browser, with one anti-detect browser profile and one static IP per account. Bots built with discord.py take a proxy in code.

Which proxy is best for Discord?

Why does Discord ask me to verify my login?
It sees the login coming from a new IP or location. A static IP used for every login stops most of those checks.
Does the Discord app support proxies?
Not in its settings. Use Discord in a browser or an anti-detect browser profile with the proxy set there. Bots built with discord.py take a proxy URL in code.
Should my bot run through a proxy?
Only if its host is shared or its IP is limited. A bot on its own server with a clean IP does not need one. If you do proxy it, use a static IP so the gateway connection stays up.
