This summary is here to help. The full text below is what applies.
1. Who is responsible for your data
VantixProxy (“we”, “us”) is a proxy provider. We decide how the personal data described here is used. This policy covers the website at vantixproxy.com and the customer dashboard at my.vantixproxy.com.
Privacy questions and requests: [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Account. Your email address, your password in protected form, security settings such as two-factor authentication, and a record of recent sign-ins so you can see and end active sessions.
- Payments. Payment references from our processors: the transaction ID, amount, currency, status and date. For card payments we also receive limited details such as the card brand and last four digits. We never receive your full card number.
- Usage. How much bandwidth each product and sub-user has used, and when, so we can bill you and show you the numbers in your dashboard.
- Things you set up. Sub-users, whitelisted IP addresses, saved proxy settings, API keys and webhooks.
- Support. Live chat conversations, emails and contact form messages you send us.
- Website. Standard server logs when you visit our pages: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time.
- Free tools. Most of our free tools run entirely in your browser and send nothing to us. The proxy checker is the exception: it sends the proxies you paste to our server so it can test them. That list is used only for the test and is not stored or logged.
3. What we do not collect
- Identity documents, selfies or proof of address. We do not run KYC.
- The content of the traffic you send through our proxies. We keep no logs of it.
- Your full card number, which is handled entirely by Stripe.
- Advertising or cross-site tracking data. We do not use advertising pixels.
4. Why we use it
- To create and run your account, deliver what you bought and bill you correctly. This is needed to perform our contract with you.
- To keep the service secure and to detect payment fraud and abuse of our network, as described in the Verification Policy. This is a legitimate interest we share with our customers.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping payment records.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build marketing profiles.
7. Where your data is processed
Our infrastructure is hosted in Iceland and the EU. Our payment and chat providers may process data in other countries. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
8. How long we keep it
- Account data: for as long as your account is open.
- Payment records: for as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after the account is closed.
- Usage totals: for as long as the account is open, so your history stays visible to you.
- Support messages and server logs: for a limited period, then deleted.
- Records of an abuse or fraud investigation: for as long as needed to resolve it and to stop repeat abuse.
When you close your account we delete or anonymise the rest.
9. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it in a particular way. If you are in the EEA or the UK you also have the right to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California or another place with a similar privacy law, you have the right to know, correct and delete, and we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
Write to [email protected] from the email address on your account. We may need to confirm the request comes from you. Some data cannot be deleted while we are legally required to keep it.
10. Security
Connections to our site and dashboard are encrypted. Passwords are stored in protected form, never in plain text, and you can turn on two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so use a unique password and tell us at once if you suspect misuse of your account.
11. Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has opened an account, contact us and we will close it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we tell you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect.
