Firefox proxy setup
Firefox has its own proxy settings, separate from Windows and macOS, so you can send just Firefox through a proxy. It asks for the login in a pop-up.

Before you start
Three things to have ready.
Your proxy line
Copy the host, port, username and password from the generator in your dashboard. The examples use Eternal Residential: et.vantixproxy.com, port 1000.
HTTP for logins
Firefox asks for the username and password of an HTTP proxy. For SOCKS5, whitelist your IP first.

Step 1: Set the proxy
Choose a manual configuration, enter the host and port, and tick the box that uses the same proxy for HTTPS. The first page you open asks for the login; put targeting at the end of the password.

Firefox cannot log in to a SOCKS5 proxy, so whitelist your IP in the dashboard first. Tick Proxy DNS so websites are looked up through the proxy, not by your own network.

Each Firefox profile keeps its own settings, so each can use its own proxy. For many accounts, an anti-detect browser such as AdsPower is easier to manage.

Why does Firefox keep asking for the login?
Firefox remembers it for the session only. To stop the pop-up, whitelist your IP in the dashboard and leave the login out.
Can Firefox log in to a SOCKS5 proxy?
No. Use HTTP with a login, or SOCKS5 with a whitelisted IP.
Firefox shows my real IP in the WebRTC test. What now?
Type about:config in the address bar, search media.
The proxy works in Chrome but not in Firefox. Why?
Firefox has its own setting. Either set the proxy in Firefox, or choose Use system proxy settings to follow Windows or macOS.
How do I turn it off?
Settings > General > Network Settings > Settings, then choose No proxy.
